Chirstmas Party in Reno 2010

Every year in December the company Alex works at hosts a huge Christmas party. The have it at the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino in Reno, Navada. Heres the link if you would like to see it (http://www.peppermillreno.com/) Last year we flew up on Friday and left Sunday. This year we flew up Saturday morning. The party was on Saturday night, so we just walked around the casino all day. We had so much fun. I'm not a big gambler, it gets kinda boring to me. But Alex LOVES playing poker so he was the one doing the gambling. After the Christmas party we went to the club inside the hotel and it was really nice. I didn't get any photos of that but you can see photos on the website. Anyway here are the photos from the night and the drive home when we stopped to play in the snow! :)

Our Christmas tree!

Yesterday Alex and I wanted to buy and decorate our own Christmas tree for the first time in 5 years. Every year my family and I usually buy one or go cut one down in the Santa Cruz mountains, that's why Alex and I have never had our own. We would just decorate the family tree together. This year though, Alex and I decided that we were going to do our own tree :) We don't live together yet so the tree is at my house. I've always wanted a white tree with lots of pretty colorful decorations. Of course I wanted all pink and silver with splashes of green but his favorite color is red. So we compromised and added cute little red bulb ornaments. So in the morning we went to Wal-Mart and found all of our stuff for really cheap. The 6'5 ft white tree was $38, and ornaments ranged anywhere from $1-3! We also bought a cute ribbon to go around the tree. The star on top of the tree was I believe $4. So all in all we didn't spend too much for our first tree together. It was so much fun decorating it when we finally got back to my house. At first we had it in the dining room where we always have our family tree. My mom however was being a brat (lol) and wanted her own big fluffy green tree. So her and my dad went and bought one. She came home with and 8'5 ft tree! So I ended up moving my tree to the living room. NOW WE HAVE TWO TREES haha. My tree looks better in the living room anyway :) So here they are....

My 21st bday!

Hey everyone so as you all know I turned 21 on Oct.29th! Finally, so I wanted to share some pics of how it went. To start off the night some family members, my Fiance, my BFF and I went out to eat at a restaurant called Billy Burkes. It was really yummy! Then after that we all went to a club called Sabor. A lot of my friends met up with me there. OMG it was soooo much fun! I think Alex (my Fiance), was more excited about me turning 21 then I was lol. He's been waiting for a year and a half :D Any way enjoy the pics!

Big News!

Hey everyone!

So a lot has happened these past few months! I know I've been M.I.A from YouTube, and believe me when I say I miss making videos. I've been working a lot and going to school so most of my time is taken up. BUT, I'm going to hop back on the YouTube train soon I promise. If you follow me on Twitter you all should know that I recently got hired at a MAC counter as a permanent artist/associate! I'm only part time but its still a lot of hours for part time. I'm super happy that I got hired there and I'm working under one of the girls who helped me learn a lot when I first started as a freelancer last year. Some of you may be wondering why I didn't go straight to work at a salon since I have my cosmetology license. The reason is because I want to take more advanced classes toward my skills so I won't have to start out as a receptionist or someones assistant. That's the last thing I want to do. If I work in a salon now then I want to have my own station and my own clients. Being an assistant isn't what I want and that's what most girls start off as. I could go on some more about it but that's beside the point. I have some really big news that I've only shared on Twitter with my followers that I've been wanting to tell you all!

On August 15th 2010, my boyfriend Alex who is now my Fiance, asked me to marry him!!! We've been together for 5 years now and we'd been talking about it for a few months. It made me the happiest girl in the world to know that I'm the only one for him and he's the only one for me. He's my high school sweetheart! We met when I was only 15 and he had just turned 17. We were the couple in school that no one would have EVER thought would happen lol. BUT WE DID! We've made it so far and through lots of ups and downs but look at us now! I wanted to let you all know that we are planning to get married July 9th, 2011. I already bought my dress and we already booked a ceremony site and reception ballroom! Planning a wedding is not easy but it's SO MUCH FUN! I'll keep posting blogs little by little of our journey along the way.

Graduated Cosmetolgy!

So as of August 6th, 2010 I am officially done with cosmetology. As of August 19th, 2010 I passed state board and received my cosmo license! YAY ME! Graduation day was hectic. Some of us had to get ready at school to finish our hours and I happened to be one of them. It was soooo much fun. We watched movies, had breakfast, styled each others hair and gave manis and pedis. It was our last hoorah together and looking back I know although most of those girls became like sisters to me, we won't ever see each other again. We're all slowly moving on to new things and some are even moving away. :( I'm glad I took this journey with all of them and most importantly I'm glad we all accomplished one of our goals together.

The day of our graduation was beautiful and we all graduated in front of the building on the grass in front of all our families. Speeches were made, flowers were given and finally we all crossed the stage ready to be FREE! lol

Now that I'm done I plain to work in a salon and build a portfolio. I really really really want to be in the bridal business. Being able to do hair and makeup plus be my own boss. I've realized that I do better when I'm in charge. :)
